Cases like no other

Original design, unique component quality, unparalleled in-game feel: that's my goal, and that's the very purpose of Button Box Kingdom.

A passion for driving and flying games, the joy of playing with quality equipment... that's all it took.

The button boxes and sim panels on the market are all the same: plastic buttons, no tactile feedback, not much visual appeal. There are rare exceptions, DSD Software being one. But I wanted to use my knowledge and skills for something more unique, more original.

I was very surprised to see that there were no button boxes on the market with real wood, real vehicle buttons, real keys, and not just toys or low-end plastic.

I tried dozens of plastics, woods, and buttons. Several months of work before finding a recipe that works. Today marks the beginning of an adventure. For now, I've made cases particularly suited for Euro Truck Simulator and American Truck Simulator. The future will explore other games...

Ultra-Durable Cases

The cases are individually 3D printed, currently in PETG: exceptional durability, significant thickness, they have weight. If you have a cockpit on actuators, it won't budge; it's designed for that.

Everything is manufactured in a single block to prevent vibrations.

Each model will always be produced in small batches; each case will have its imperfections that make it unique, and no two examples of a model will be exactly alike.

Real Wood

I don't use vinyl coating with a wood finish; I laser-cut high-end real wood. Walnut is the most popular today, but I work with several other species, such as birch for a lighter shade.

The largest cases have stainless steel reinforcement on the back of the panel to prevent any deformation. Each front panel is double-varnished, without sanding. The goal is to preserve the unique texture of the wood, to have an object with character.

Solid Fastenings and Soldering

The internal connectors are JST 2.54 mm: in other words, they're solid. No disconnections possible, no solder joints can fail, no plugs can come loose.

Whether it's a key, a switch, a push button, it doesn't matter, the system is the same: solidity and reliability above all. Each component is tested before assembly, and each case is tested after assembly.

Design, but also Ergonomics

Each case is available in two versions:

  • flat, which allows it to be attached to a cockpit and viewed from the front, just like in a real vehicle;
  • inclined, for players who play at their desk.

For this, I created inclined cases. A 20-degree tilt allows the player to simply place the case on their desk and enjoy it to the fullest.

The layout of buttons and interactive components is designed for the games they are intended for, based on my own experiences.

Here, I'm primarily aiming for the vintage truck style. Other inspirations will come.

Unique Packaging and Programming

A Wooden Box

Each case is shipped in an engraved wooden box. A premium product deserves premium packaging. The box can be reused as you wish afterward.

Shielded USB-C Cable

Each case comes with a high-end USB-C cable for a solid and fast connection.

User Manual in French and English

Each case includes a user manual and a description of the various components it can integrate.

Custom Programming

I am a computer engineer by trade, a designer and developer. I am passionate about simulation games.

I made sure that the physical movement of the buttons is as close to reality as possible, but also usable in games.

It would be tedious to have to reset the buttons to their original state before each game, which is why the programming has been adapted for different games.

Limited Series

Each model comes from a limited series; I have already decided how many cases I will produce per model.

I will make other models: imagination and inspiration never run out.

Once a model is sold out, the plans will be destroyed.

I will never make it again.
