Returns and Warranty

This page specifies the conditions for returns, withdrawal, and warranty applicable to ButtonBox Kingdom products purchased on the button-box-kingdom.com website.


Returns & Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with the provisions of the Consumer Code, the consumer customer benefits from a 14-day period from the date of receipt of the product to exercise their right of withdrawal for standard models (non-customized). Beyond this 14-day period, no returns or withdrawals are accepted.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

  • custom-made enclosures produced according to customer specifications;
  • highly limited personalized series;
  • any product that has been specifically customized and clearly indicated before the order.

Conditions for Returns under Right of Withdrawal

For a return under the right of withdrawal to be accepted, all the following conditions must be met:

  • the return occurs within the 14-day period after receipt;
  • the product is returned in its original packaging;
  • all components are present: enclosure, USB cable, user manual, authenticity card;
  • the product is in its original condition: no impact, no major scratches, no modifications, no opening of the enclosure;
  • the product has not been reprogrammed and remains consistent with its shipping configuration.

In the event of damage, missing accessories, or signs of use that make the product unsellable as new, a depreciation may be applied to the refund, based on the observed loss of value, in accordance with Article L221-23 of the Consumer Code.

Return Fees

Regardless of the reason for return (including under the right of withdrawal), return shipping costs are entirely at the customer's expense, unless otherwise agreed in writing by ButtonBox Kingdom.

In the event of a proven defect covered by the warranty, ButtonBox Kingdom may, at its sole discretion, offer a commercial gesture (for example: partial or full coverage of return shipping costs), without this constituting a systematic commitment.

Return Procedure

Before any return, the customer must contact customer service at the following address: buttonboxkingdom@gmail.com, or via the website's contact form. No package returned without prior contact will be accepted.

The return address and precise instructions will be communicated by email. The customer is responsible for carefully packaging the product to prevent any damage during transport. It is strongly recommended to use tracked and insured shipping.

Refunds, when due, will be processed within a maximum of 14 days from the receipt and verification of the returned product, using the same payment method as used for the order, unless otherwise agreed with the customer.

Legal Warranties

ButtonBox Kingdom products benefit from the following legal warranties:

  • the legal guarantee of conformity (Articles L217-3 et seq. of the Consumer Code);
  • the legal warranty against hidden defects (Articles 1641 et seq. of the Civil Code).

These warranties apply independently of any additional commercial warranty. In the event of implementation, the customer may choose between repair or replacement of the product, subject to the legal conditions in force.

ButtonBox Kingdom Commercial Warranty

In addition to legal warranties, ButtonBox Kingdom offers a 2-year commercial warranty from the date of delivery, covering operational defects of the enclosure under normal use conditions.

This commercial warranty applies only if:

  • the product has been used in accordance with the user manual;
  • the enclosure has not been opened, disassembled, or modified;
  • the internal electronic board has not been reprogrammed;
  • the product has not suffered impacts, visible damage, or deterioration related to an unsuitable environment (humidity, excessive heat, extreme storage, etc.).

Enclosure Opening and Reprogramming

Each enclosure includes an opening control system to verify if the enclosure has been opened after shipment. In the event of the enclosure being opened or disassembled by the customer or an unauthorized third party, the commercial warranty is immediately voided, without prejudice to any legal warranties.

Similarly, the internal electronic board is software-controllable. ButtonBox Kingdom can verify if the enclosure has been reprogrammed or if the original firmware has been modified. In the event of incorrect reprogramming, firmware alteration, or abnormal behavior related to a software modification, no commercial warranty will apply.

The initial programming script or firmware will never be sent back to the customer. Any unauthorized rewriting of the original program on the electronic board is entirely the customer's responsibility.

Condition of Wood and Natural Materials

ButtonBox Kingdom enclosures use wood and other noble materials. As wood is a living material, certain natural phenomena (micro-cracks, color variations, changes in appearance over time or with the environment) may occur without constituting a defect. These natural evolutions are not covered by the commercial warranty, provided that the enclosure's functionality is not affected.

Warranty Exclusions

The commercial warranty does not cover, in particular:

  • the use of the enclosure with an unsuitable or defective power supply or USB cable;
  • connections to non-compliant, unstable, or clearly faulty equipment;
  • damage related to impact, a fall, unauthorized disassembly, or modification;
  • damage due to humidity, excessive heat, prolonged direct sunlight, or improper storage;
  • any malfunction resulting from reprogramming or software modification of the electronic board.

In case of doubt, ButtonBox Kingdom will analyze the enclosure and inform the customer of the nature of the defect (whether or not it is covered by the warranty).

Authenticity Card and Pre-Shipment Checks

Each product is tested and checked before shipment. An authenticity card accompanies each enclosure; it certifies:

  • the authenticity of the ButtonBox Kingdom product;
  • the functional test performed before dispatch.

This card is an integral part of the product. In case of return, it must be sent back with the enclosure. In the absence of the authenticity card, the processing of the return or warranty may be refused or limited.
